recursive
disk level
data recovery analysis
software for bad floppy disks. single recursive run lists all
files having a folder entry from an inaccessible floppy disk. listed
files and orphaned
files can be recovered by using
recover floppy pro v1.0. meant for floppy disks that generate 'drive a: is not accessible' or 'the
disk in
drive a: is not formatted'
error in windows. runs from a dos box in
windows xp / 2000 / me / 98 / 98se / 95 / 95 osr2. depending on the version of the
windows os, a bad boot sector on a floppy
disk generates 'drive a: is not accessible' or 'the
disk in
drive a: is not formatted'
error in windows. 'drive a: is not accessible'
error means one of these other problems too: 1) 'data
error (cyclic redundancy check)' 2) ''the
system cannot read from the specified device' 3) 'the requested sector is not found'. mainly a bad boot sector and/or some other bad sectors in the
system area of the floppy
disk cause this
error (again depending on the
windows version): 'the
disk in
drive a: is not
formatted do you want to
format it now'. these are not big problems. there is no need to find bad sectors by yourself. there is no need to look at sector contents by yourself. and there is no need to make any decisions by yourself regarding what to recover, and what content belongs to what file. analyzer for
recover floppy pro lists
files with their cluster size and fragmentation status. this shows that this much of info is still available on the bad floppy. this ability to list the
lost files ensures that your precious
files can be recovered by using
recover floppy pro v1.0 (just $21 usd). in the case of a reformatted floppy disk, the analyzer can only list
files having a folder entry. but
recover floppy pro can
recover these orphaned
files too giving them new names when they are recovered.
